The Work That Piles Up

Every small company has a list of jobs that need a person to read something, look something up, or make a call: researching a lead before the email goes out, sorting the shared inbox, chasing a follow-up, writing the Monday report. None of it is hard. All of it gets dropped the moment client work picks up, and the usual answer is a coordinator you can't quite justify yet.

An agent is software that does one of those jobs on a schedule, without anyone prompting it. It reads from the tools you already use, does the research or the writing, and leaves the result staged for a person to approve. It runs on a Tuesday at 7am whether or not anyone is thinking about it. You keep the review step. You skip the hire.

Agents can be built for almost any task, and the more judgment the task needs, the more care the build takes. Here is what every one of ours includes:

  • Tool integration. Agents connect to tools like Google Workspace, Office 365, CRMs, spreadsheets, databases, email, Slack, etc. Need a tool that doesn't exist yet? We can build it for you.
  • Human oversight. Agents draft, stage, and flag. Your team reviews and approves before anything goes out.
  • Persistent memory. Context carries across runs, so the agent picks up where it left off instead of starting cold.
  • Full logging. Audit trails for every run, and hard limits on what the agent can read and touch.

How It Works

Stage 1: Workflow Mapping

We map the workflow end to end: what starts it, which tools it touches, which steps need judgment, and which decisions stay with a person. If the whole thing turns out to be plain rules, we'll tell you, and workflow automation is the cheaper fit.

Stage 2: Agent Design

We design the agent's architecture: the model that powers it, the tools it can call, the data it reads and writes, and the guardrails that keep it in bounds. You review and approve the design before we write code.

Stage 3: Build & Test

We build against your live tools and data, and you see working output within the first sprint. From there we iterate on what the agent produces until it's right.

Stage 4: Deploy & Monitor

The agent goes live on with scheduling, monitoring, and alerting. You get documentation and training, so your team knows what's running and how to manage it.

Case Study: Drew, AI Sales Agent

The Problem

Sales outreach is the first thing to stop when client work picks up. It happened to us: weeks into engagements, no prospecting emails, a pipeline going cold.

The Agent

Drew is a sales development agent that runs every weekday morning. He reads our lead database, prioritizes prospects by signal strength, researches each company, writes a personalized outreach email, and stages every draft for review. Nothing sends without a person approving it, and Drew's email signature discloses that he's an AI agent.

The Result

Outreach goes out every weekday whether or not we're heads-down on client work, and each email is written from research on that specific prospect rather than a template. The review step means a person still signs off on everything that leaves the building.

What It Solves

  • You've got it all mapped out but lack the time.

Hand us the plan. We build agents that carry out the steps on a schedule or on demand.

  • Your follow-ups, reminders and status emails depend on someone remembering to send them.

A rule-based automation often covers it. Where a message needs judgment, an agent drafts it and sends it on time.

  • You run the same five-step process 40 times a week.

We automate the steps that follow rules and give an agent the ones that need judgment. Anything you want approved still goes to a person.

  • Your franchise locations each do things their own way.

An agent can run a process the same way at every location and flag the places where it drifts.

What It Gets You

  • A reply to every new inquiry within minutes, even at 9pm.

The agent reads each inquiry when it arrives and writes a first reply. Someone on your team approves it before it goes out.

  • Services your team can offer now that an agent does the legwork.

Take a research brief on every new prospect. An agent pulls the background, and your team adds the judgment and sends it.

  • Eyes on the things that change while you're busy.

An agent can watch prices, filings or a shared inbox and tell you when something needs a person.

  • A log of every step the agent took.

Each run records the files it opened and the actions it took. If a result looks off, you can open the log and find the step that caused it.

What Agents Can Do

A good candidate is work that comes up every week, eats real hours, and needs someone to read, write, or weigh options each time:

Sales & Outreach

  • Lead research and qualification
  • Personalized email drafting
  • Follow-ups written from the last conversation
  • Prioritizing leads by fit

Operations

  • Inbox triage and routing
  • Written reports and summaries
  • Reconciling records that don't match
  • Flagging orders that look off

Finance & Admin

  • Expense categorization
  • Compliance checks
  • Vendor communication
  • Monthly close notes

Customer Success

  • Support ticket triage
  • Drafting replies to customers
  • Summarizing reviews and feedback
  • Spotting customers at risk of leaving

Research & Analysis

  • Market research briefs
  • Competitor monitoring
  • Content summarization
  • Data gathering and structuring
  • Trend analysis

Content & Marketing

  • Social media drafting
  • Newsletter assembly
  • SEO monitoring
  • Content repurposing
  • Campaign reporting

AI Agent or Automation?

If a workflow can be written as rules ("when a deal closes, send the invoice"), it doesn't need an agent, and workflow automation will run it faster and cheaper. Agents earn their cost on the steps where someone has to read, research, or decide. Many projects use both: the automation moves the data, and the agent handles the part that needs judgment.
